OUTREACH TO FELLOW CATHOLICS: Can you help?

‘ Catholics Coming Home’ is a six session small-group gathering arranged to give gentle encouragement to those considering a return to parish and practice of their Faith. Parishioners who have completed adult faith education/ministry programs would be well placed to help make ‘Catholics Coming Home’ available. Please contact Fr Kevin soon for details.

‘God desires to do with you what Spring does with the cherry trees’

The Tenison Woods Education Centre is offering a spring retreat at Lochinvar from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon, 5-6 September. Closing date: 1 September. Limit of 14 places. ENQUIRY NIGHTS: for anyone wishing to learn more about the Catholic Faith through the RCIA process will be held on Thursday nights 4th and 11th Sept in the meeting room, Forster Parish Hall 7.30pm. Please extend an invitation (and give a brochure) to a friend or family member who may be interested. Blue brochures that explain the RCIA are on the table at the back of the church. This year we would like to introduce the RCIA participants to different members of the parish each week through an additional session on sharing about the Sunday gospel readings. If you could help out please contact Anne Moloney on 6555 8918.

HOLY NAME SCHOOL FETE 2008:A HUGE THANK YOU,

Once again, to everyone who contributed in some way to help make the fete another success. Your donation of items for all the stalls & the help you gave was very much appreciated by the P & F, Students & Staff of Holy Name School. The amount of just over $17,500 will be used to purchase Learning & Physical Education resources for the Students. THANK YOU!

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM: Parents of children involved in the Sacramental Program ARE INVITED TO A MEETING THIS Tuesday night at 7pm in the Church Hall to begin preparation for First Eucharist.

CAMP DIO 2008: From Friday 5th December to Monday 8th December at Aussie Bush Camp, Tea Gardens. Cost $175 any student in years 6 to 12 may attend. Activities include- canoeing, abseiling, climbing, high and low rope challenges. See the Parish Office for details.

CELEBRATE LOVE SEMINAR: A two day seminar for married couples with practical tools and liberating insights to build a lifetime of love together.

MIGRANT & REFUGEE WEEK: The Australian Bishops have decided on a week of celebration from Monday 25th August to Sunday 31st August. This week we will acknowledge, value and celebrate the diverse and cultural richness of our Australian Nation, and of the Catholic Church in Australia.

WALKING THE SCRIPTURES WITH FR PAUL MULCONRY: On Tuesday, 26th August, 9.30am-2.30pm in Parish Hall. Do come! As we grow in our understanding of the Scriptures, we can’t help growing closer to the Lord.
